Still Life
In creating a still life I try to capture the simple beauty of elements that surround me. These domestic and ordinary objects are loaded with cultural connotations, for example a delf vase that belonged to my grandmother, silverware or tea cups from years long by. I often combine the above elements with flowers. To paint flowers or flower arrangements are fun and give me so much joy.
The still life paintings that I paint portray objects and/or elements that are dear to me.
